WHO WE ARE

Energy to Feel Good.

And together,
Do Good.

WHAT DRIVES US?

Machu Picchu is born out of a passion: to share the joy of living outdoors to the fullest. And also, out of a dream: to use that same energy to improve the lives of children in difficult situations.

All of this is reflected in the way we create MACHU PICCHU's unparalleled flavourful drinks, with organic flavor
technology, natural caffeine, and no preservatives. And moreover, in the way we take action to bring real change and
inspire others.

Our story

A life full of learnings.

Bernardo Paiva was born in Brazil. As a young kid in the streets of Rio de Janeiro, he learned from his parents, both teachers, the value of education and giving back to the community.

"Nothing made me feel better than being out there, lining up in the sea, waiting for waves."

As he grew up, his passion for outdoor did too. His love for surfing or just walking amidst the mountains, showed him the power of connecting with nature and how it could help him restore his emotional balance.

“I wanted to find a way to do my part and lend a hand to all those kids in need of a better education, a safer environment and better role models.”

Throughout the years, Bernardo’s successful professional career has given him the chance to collaborate with NGOs to improve the personal and economic outlook of the children in favelas.

I’ve never been more motivated and inspired in my entire life

By founding Machu Picchu, Bernardo combines his experiences and two passions in order to create the best energizing beverages possible, share his joy for being outdoors and empower projects that help children worldwide.

Our commitments

Let’s create a better tomorrow,
by helping our children today.

There are millions of children worldwide living in communities that lack opportunities, safe environments or proper role models. The challenge is huge. At Machu Picchu, we are rolling up our sleeves to help improve their lives for a more promising future.

This is why we donate at least 1% of our net revenue, as well as our own time and expertise to causes that support this mission.

Partners for good

We are proud to collaborate with amazing organizations, work together with the people behind them and join efforts to create a bigger impact.

Alto Peru

Alto Peru is a renowned Peruvian NGO that uses both sports and community urbanism to change the lives of children in the slums of Lima. We are helping to develop and expand Alto Peru’s mission of creating a safe and healthy community for children, by working side-by-side with the leaders of the organization and sharing our network with them.

U.S. Educational Programs

We are personally involving ourselves in bringing new opportunities to underserved high school students in the U.S. Our goal is to directly teach them soft and technical skills so they can become successful and socially-conscious leaders in the future.
We are starting this initiative in Miami by working together with Miami-Dade County Public Schools to create BevLaunch. An interactive workshop that gives students in underserved communities access to the business world by teaching them teach socially-conscious entrepreneurship. Over the course of the school year, students will launch a fictitious, mission-based beverage company – from creating the brand and formula to pitching their idea to local VCs.
